Hello!!! Guess I need to blog occasionally. I get busy and just don't think about it. Perhaps we could call it scattered energy syndrome (SES) (a new "syndrome" of my own making)!lol Why not? It ranks right up there with restless leg syndrome and ADD/ADHD. And if you actually know my thoughts on all this, you know I think its bogus!!! Its really all your perception of how you get whats going on. Are willing to do to change your life to prevent this condition? Are you actually ready to get over your "disease" and the benefits it has to you from society, family and friends? And have you learned your lesson that your condition had to teach you. I could go on, and on and... I was at this awesome seminar recently that delt with tons of solutions for inflammation and all the diseases associated with it. Sometimes I just see a lot of this in my patients and it truly breaks my heart. So, I will give you a quick run-down on my world. I have to thank the guys at genex magazine for the 2007 Best Legs Award! That was very cool. My new assistant from Nebraska is such a little worker-she is great! I'm telling you, its all about how you were raised-the morals/values/stable family. It really adds up and shows up as an adult. Training is going well-they sort of have to force me sometimes, but its getting done!lol Andrea's starting to diet for Jr. Nats (he, he). Her and Shawn Mack will do awesome!!!! It's because we all have phenomenal trainers:). I have a whole new respect for the UFC fighters after watching it in person-they have to be in PHENOMENAL shape!!! The endurance is pretty mind-boggling! I'm busy taking some fun business classes. Learning tons-I've NEVER gotten to take anything like this in school. It was like psychology or something...just wasn't an option (besides general psychology wich was mandatory). So it very cool to be able to take some "cheesy" stuff that was not an option prior. I think I'm going to get my masters in Nutrition...I really am a life-long nerd!lol I feel terrible that I'm not attending the Arnold this year. I wish I could be there to cheer on Kristy Hawkins, and all the other amazing fbb's, but these classes are taking up a bit of my "spare" time. And I cannot wait to meet this boy I keep hearing about (the other reason I wish I was attending)...Brandon RAY...you better be treating that girl like GOLD!!!! And so far, I think ya are!lol So poor Amy Schmid...this has been her dream forever to be an American Gladiator...but the complete tear of the ACL is a set-back...but I'm sure she'll pop back like always. Hope everyone is well! Take care. Holly

Holly Hello Everyone! Been a while since I've had the opportunity to blog, so I thought I should do so! I have to say CONGRATS to my long-time friend Kristy Hawkins who just got her pro card! I'm sooo proud of her! She works so hard-both in the gym and in the lab! Kristy's always been there for me over the last few years and I really appreciate what a great friend she is-can't even tell ya all the crazy "life situations" we've cried on each others shoulders about!lol But all is well now! My only regret is that I was not able to make it to Dallas to cheer her on! My life gets really busy, at that time more than usual, and I just could not leave at that point. Thanksgiving was fabulous! I just LOVE pumpkin pie!!!!! It is my all time favorite-and no one makes it better than, of course, my mom! Yes, I'm on my way to do some cardio after this for all the great eats I enjoyed over the long weekend. Quite excited to get back on my clean eating regime as well. I'm doing really well this off-season so far-packing my food everyday, getting my cardio done, training consistantly-just some real basic things that sometimes I don't keep up on as well as I should. I'm on a mission to maintain that balance between my own well-being and that of others. I often have a tendency to put others well-being before that of my own-its that care-taking instinct!lol Its also very helpful and inspiring to have Andrea, Heather and Dylan keeping me on track. I can't wait to have another team member coming to CO to join me and my staff next week! This fabulous gal is joining us from a super-busy clinic in NE and she's a little ball of energy! I already have sooo much planned out! I'm definately foreseeing an expansion in the near future...very excited about this...one more hire and I will be ecstatic... This is good. Take care. Holly

Hello! Things have been sooo crazy busy-the norm! So the USA's were awesome! Things came together sooo well for me for this prep-no injuries, no drama, just crazy energy from within thanks to my support team and Hard Nutrition! And if you don't know my life-most people wouldn't even have the energy to run my daily life, let alone prep as well!lol
Dylan and Heather were AWESOME!!! They really have something special-they work really well as a team-and each one knows their specialties! They are super supportive and really make me work hard-as in they are so inspirational-I wanna work hard for them. Plus they just tell me how it is, wich is how I respond best instead of sugar coating things. I was really happy with my improvements-definately a personal best for myself. Bodybuilding is so subjective, and although things may have been based more on conditioning rather than symmetry, I'm thrilled with how I looked.
You have to check out Heather's "12 Weeks out-Keepin' It Real" on bodybuilding.com! It's halarious leg training! It will give all of you a little taste of the CO Dylan Armbrust Legs Factory!lol All 4 people in the video have one common denominator-we've all been CO State Champs at some point or another! Except we all aspire to be what Mrs. Armbrust will be...Ms. Olympia! Oh yea, baby, it will be!

JUNE THOUGHTs
Hello! My how time flies! There's just been sooo much going on! First off, I have to say CONGRATS to Dylan and Heather!!!!!! I'm just so glad they FINALLY got married!!!!! They make a perfect couple. Heather was a beautiful bride!!! Her symmetry is just sooo perfect! And what a dress-just gorgeous!
You know, there's some people that come into your life and all you can say is WOW!! I'm sooo thankful Heather introduced me to Bob Nichols, the biochemist from Hard Nutrition. He is absolutely impressive. He's sooo motivational and really knows his stuff! Bob actually manufactures all of his products out of Arvada, CO. And I've tried about every line of vitamins/sports nutrition products available, so for me to actually like this is a miracle!lol Pretty much everything is encapsulated, so the ingredients are still in a viable form, not baked. Bob's been so great-he even comes to my clinic to do seminars for my patients, and they absolutely adore him. But how can you not? He's sooo darn smart!
I'm doing something I really didn't think I was going to be able to...The USA's!!! I really recovered well from minor surgery-thanks to Bob's vitamins. Things are going along really well-actually much smoother than last year. Last year was a huge struggle for me both physically and emotionally because I had taken soooo much time off and the mental grief I'd gone thru was tremendous. You really have to loose something dear to you thats a part of you to understand it. So I'm just happy to be prepping. I actually started early-NOT because I was told to, but because Bob is so inspirational-he truely wants to make eating healthy a part of people's lives. And as he said-eating basically anything white is killing you (white flour, white sugar, white rice.....and the list goes on).... It makes it so much easier when your dieting to look at all the ads on television for pizza while your doing your cardio and think-yuck-that why Americans are so fat!lol And actually it goes right to the pathway that is responsible for inflammation-and isn't it ironic that basically every disease is inflammatory-RA, lupus, Crohn's, fibromyalgia, and the list goes on and on and on...
The Shawn Ray has come and gone already. Very busy and exciting place that was-a bit crazy actually. Definately need to improve upon the acoustics for next year, but the whole show is a positive step in the right direction for bringing more events to CO.

Hello everyone! Hope all is well! Just a quick blog-before it's time for the Arnold!!! I just love going to the Arnold-soooo many things going on-the strongman competition, of course bodybuilding, the powerlifting, olympic lifting, fencing, gymnastics, and the list just goes on and on! Plus-I get sooo nervous when close friends of mine are competing-Amy Schmid in the ameatur bb, and Heather Policky in the Pro!!!!! They both have put so much work into this-they just have to do well!!! I'm getting there on Thursday night to help Amy. And of course anything Heather needs, she know I'm there for her. Kristy Hawkins will be there Friday! It's like a get together of my favorite people! And of course, you always run into sooo many people that are just the greatest at the expo! I have no idea how Heather has prepped thru this weather! Seriously, the snow has been out of control this winter-and its never like this in CO normally. I can't even imagine getting up, tromping thru the snow every morning on your way to the gym to do cardio-hoping you don't hit a patch of ice-on foot or in the car! It has been sooo cold! I can't wait to see everyone at the Arnold! Holly

Hello Everyone! Nationals was such a great time-but it's great to get back-I missed my Patients sooo much! They mean the world to me and are just so incredibly awesome!!! And of course my staff as well! Couldn't do it with out them!
I have to thank Heather and Dillion for helping me get ready for nationals. They were there 100%, and you have to understand-I have sooooo many other things that I do in my day, it's really helpful for me to have someone really focus my energy in the gym.
And of course, I have to thank Robin Parker for making my behave on my diet!lol It was great to get to know her and Barry-they truely are wonderful people. Never really seen Robin eat bad until after nationals-I think she had to have the Cheesecake because my placing stressed her out!lol Just kidding!
But my friend that never ceases to amaze me and support me is Kristy Hawkins-not sure wich is more impressive, her ability to eat THEE biggest hamburger I've ever seen in my entire life in under 5 minutes, or have THEE most awesome conditioning!!!!
All of the women at nationals looked absolutely phenomenal!!! It was just amazing.
And thanks Colette-the hair and makeup get better every time, I swear! You do sooo much to help out, it's unreal.
Now is my favorite time of year-Thanksgiving and Christmas! I've been baking all the goodies since I got home! Homemade brownies, carrot cake, pasta-I just love cooking after shows! And of course, going to all our favorite restaurants-Maggiano's (Little Italy), Cheesecake Factory, still have to hit the rib shack! YUM!!!!
And now I finally have some extra time to volunteer/do fundraising-we did a donation to the Denver Rescue Mission last week-now we'll start toys for tots for Christmas. I also want to donate my time to praying hands ranch-were disabled children can ride horses. I can't imagine not growing up on a horse-and giving a child the ability to walk, even if its on a horse and not via there own legs, is just priceless.
Take great care! Holly
